Software Development Engineer

As Software Development Engineer you will leverage multiple languages to build high performance systems ranging from desktop-level apps to large-scale cloud services for our Air Force clients. You will adapt to a continually evolving set of challenges while leveraging your experience and knowledge to advance our team. We need an engaged engineer, passionate about technology, ready to help lead our efforts.

With a strong path for professional growth, you will use modern programming languages (i.e. C++20) and practices to work with a small, dedicated team on building a new software architecture. In this role, you will utilize DevSecOps to help build advanced microservice-based architectures for mission-critical systems. This new project has plenty of room for you to be creative and innovative. (There's no maintaining someone else's legacy code here!) Our on-site team utilizes modern development practices to engage with our client on highly specialized (and interesting) problems. We value beautiful, well-tested, high-quality code. We leverage automation wherever possible. (You aren't still using a coding style guide like its 2010, are you?)

The right candidate is someone ready to step in and grow themselves and our team. You should be a well-rounded software engineer, well-versed in solid design principles, and ready to hit the ground running designing and implementing advanced software for our Air Force clients.

This specific position offers both technical and management challenges to help you continually grow. While doing so, you will be working on some of the most interesting technology within the Air Force and AFLCMC. This is a fantastic opportunity to apply the skills you have developed while being presented with virtually endless opportunities to advance the state of the art.

It takes all types to make Hellebore great. If you are someone who enjoys creating innovative ways to reach ambitious goals, who is open to and energized by receiving honest feedback and is comfortable in a start-up environment: we should talk.
