ISSO / Network Administrator

On-Site/Remote Hybrid – Fulltime Position

Hellebore looking for an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) to manage our information systems. You will work within Microsoft 365 and custom hybrid cloud environments for DoD clients in this role.   We are seeking someone with a background in network engineering and cybersecurity. You must have a strong track record for leading security-related teams across multiple functions supporting workloads running in infrastructures such as AWS GovCloud, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure.

We will help you stay on top of your field by attending training and conferences, and is tightly integrated with our agile software engineering teams.

You will be responsible for the technical compliance implementation, and ongoing maintenance and review of security controls implemented on our networks. This role involves the management of controls related to NIST 800-171, NIST 800-53, and DoD STIG.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

  • Investigate and design specific infrastructure cybersecurity controls as they are identified & required to support CUI software development.
  • Monitor and evaluate a system’s compliance with information technology (IT) security, resilience, and dependability requirements.
  • Assess the effectiveness of security controls and help manage risk.
  • Perform security reviews and identify security gaps in security architecture resulting in recommendations for inclusion in the risk mitigation strategy.
  • Verify that application software/network/system security postures are implemented as stated, document deviations, and recommend required actions to correct those deviations.
  • The ISSO will assist in the development of information system documentation and the provision of a designated set of standard controls for the authorization package, including the executive summary, system security plan, privacy plan, security control assessment, privacy control assessment, and any relevant plans of action and milestones
  • Maintain system certification packages in a centralized repository, supporting primarily NIST 800-171, and NIST 800-53, both DIACAP 8500.2 and Risk Management Framework.
  • Manage Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms) and System Controls within a centralized repository
  • Design and deploy company LANs, WANs, and wireless networks, including servers, routers, firewalls, load balancers hubs, switches, UPSs, and other hardware

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field from an accredited four-year college or university
  • Minimum of five years of experience in an IT administrative or support role
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) preferred
  • Experience with NIST 800-171 and NIST 800-53
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365
  • Experience with networking (OSI network layers, TCP/IP, and VoIP); CompTIA Network+ or greater certification is highly desirable
  • Experience working with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) in a cloud environment is highly desired
  • The ability to work on-site in Fairborn, OH.
  • Familiarity with security procedures while working in a SCIF/SAPF environment.
  • A U.S. Citizen with an active National Security Clearance (i.e., SECRET, TOP SECRET, SCI, SAP)
